These reins are comfortable and easy to grip, especially because my arthritis means I rely on my thumb so much. My grip (with my thumb, mostly) is secure enough that I don't lose my reins when my horse tosses his head in frustration with the gnats. Also, they are easy to keep clean.
I injured my hand a few months ago and have not gotten my strength back in my right hand.. and I was struggling keeping consistent connection and control of my show jumper.. these reins allowed me to show this past weekend with my big boy and at the same time gave my hand some relief … correct connect always has the right tools to keep us ridders in the saddle ! Love this reins! Would highly recommend for anyone struggling with grip or consistency in the contact
Living in the Carolinas, your reins get incredibly sweaty. My reins were always slipping through my fingers. These curb reins don’t slip at all and yet don’t add any bulk in your hands either. They have been a game changer. I paired them with the regular reins with 1” reins stops and my contact is SO much better!
My horse has had issues with cinches causing tenderness. This works perfectly for her. I like the stretchiness that allows them to breathe easier.
I have been wearing it in my lessons, and so far so good. It helps with my bad posture and I have less strain on my back. My arms stay back, though my shoulders can still become round sometimes while wearing it. I have not been comfortable wearing it for jumping, perhaps it is not meant for that. But it is a great tool for warm ups and dressage.
So much easier and cleaner-looking then having a separate “oh shoot” strap around your horse’s neck.
So glad that this belt came into my closet. My favorite color is blue, I should have realized the blue belt was going to be super useful!
I love the browband, it was exactly what I was looking for! And the shipping was super quick, even to the USA!!
It fits really well with my dressage saddle.. I really need one for my jump saddle. He needs a 60” could you special order one??
We added straps and feed these like “feed bags” on the horses’ heads. Works great!
I purchased this girth becaue my horse as getting girth galls with a traditional leather girth even though I has a fuzzy sleeve. The pressure relief is excellent however the leather tabs that cover the buckles is very stiff and greated a girth gall. I may just trim the tab as it seems mostly cosmetic and not part of the girth integrity
Reins stay at the correct length with the correct contact - even for small and arthritic hands!
