About Laurietta
Correct Connect is proud to sponsor Laurietta Oakleaf. Laurietta is a grade 2 Para-Equestrian Dressage rider who trains with Anna Merritt out of Citra, FL. She started with the Para-Equestrian Dressage organization in 2007 and is pursuing her dream to qualify for the 2020 Paralympics. She’s trained with amazing trainers including Missy Ransehousen who helped her achieve the overall National Reserve Champion in June 2016.

Laurietta became a Para-Athlete in 2001 when she was diagnosed with a Guillian-Barre (GBS) attack. This attack later led to chronic inflammartory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP). In 2008, she was diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma and learned perseverance and determination can win.

“Thanks Jill Henneberg with #correctconnect. These reins are amazing. They make it possible for me to ride this beautiful gelding that has come into my life. The issues I have in my hands make it tough to hold the reins and these reins have changed my riding.”-Laurietta
