With the Correct Connect™ system, you easily keep your grip during the most wet and sweaty conditions – eventing, foxhunting, trail riding, show jumping, reining, running barrels… If you are on a horse, we have got you connected!
- Correct Connect™ rein system is simple to use. No special bits or devices are needed. Simply remove your current reins from your horse’s bit and replace them with the new Correct Connect reins, slide your hands into the Correct Connect gloves and you’re ready to ride.
- Hook-and-loop fastener on lower fingers and upper palm encourage proper contact, while allowing rider to be soft in their fingertips.
- High quality leather reins and breathable durable gloves can be used together or separately for every single ride.
I purchased the correct connect to help keep a better connection with my horse. He is infamous for trying to get heavy and on the forehand and I find it hard to keep that steady connection and not let my reins get long as he pulls. The correct connect has helped immensely. I can put my reins at the length they need to be and then they stay there. When he pulls at the canter it is enough to unvelcro the gloves, but it has shown me how much better I need to be in my seat and core during the transition so this doesn’t happen!
They definitely help with my intended need of maintaining a.consistent contact as I am apt to let the reins slip long as the rode goes on, leading to constant rein adjustment and inconsistent contact. I have trouble riding in gloves so getting used to the thicker feel from the velcro placement took some doing, but getting the feel for it. I like it for my flat work, I am not sure I will be comfortable jumping in them as at least initially they are so grippy I could not slip thr reins if I needed to.
I like the idea of your product very much! The quality of the reins and gloves is very good. For me though the grip is a little too strong. I ride a Gran Prix level dressage horse and I need a LITTLE extra help to keep my reins exactly where I want them but I also need to be able to make quick, small adjustments in rein length as I ride. I think that the one strip of velcro on the palm would provide the grip help I need but, at the same time, allow me to make rein adjustments quickly and quietly. I also wondered if you are going to market the gloves in white. While I don't think white gloves are required in the FEI rules, black gloves are definitely frowned upon by the judges.
This system is super-helpful in keeping your fingers closed and the contact consistent. I have an OTTB, and he is just now learning to move into the contact. CorrectConnect means that his head tossing and other attempts at evasion are unsuccessful. :) I'm becoming more aware of what the "feeling" should be, which is helping us both. (I also really like the color codes on the reins, so I can try different lengths during each phase of our schooling sessions.)
As someone who struggles with rein length and dropping contact - I recommend Correct Connect - I found after using the Rein Connect aid and being aware of when I drop or lose contact I could better keep the contact with or without them. It created more body awareness for me as I could not move my hands to correct connection issues. Thank You -
